Prayers for Being Still and knowing that He is God
Let us pray . . .
In Jesus name, in Jesus mighty name
Lord give me the grace to let go and let God as many say, Your Word Says:
Psalm 46:10
Be still and know that I am God I will be exalted amongst the nations I will be exalted in the earth.
Lord teach me to be still so that I can see that you are God in my life and God in all of my circumstances and so that the things that are happening around me, you will be able to be glorified for.
Exodus 14:14
The Lord will fight for you, you need only be still.
Lord you know the challenges that I am facing in my life, and you know the battles that I am fighting in different areas of my life. Lord, Your Word says that you will fight for me, that I need only be still, God give me the grace to lean on your word and to be still in times when I want to fight for myself.
Psalm 37:7
Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him.
Lord teach me to be still before you, to trust you and to wait patiently for you to do the things that I know you will do. Provide for me, the things I need and fight for me when I need you to fight for me. Give me the inspiration and the motivation that I need to get things done in my life.
Job 6:24
Teach me and I will be silent, make me understand how I have gone astray.
Lord, there are things that I have done that are not good and not edifying of myself or of you. Lord as I wait upon you and as I come into a place where I lean upon you, teach me to be silent, show me how to make space to learn from you so that I will not go astray. Give me a silent spirit, so that I am not be talking so much that I don't listen or learn. Calm my spirit down.
1 Corinthians 10:13
No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind and God is faithful he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear but when you are tempted he will also provide a way out so that you can enjoy.
Lord from this word I understand why I need to be still and know that you are God because this word says that you are faithful, it also says that there is no temptation that overtaken me that is uncommon to man which means that what I am going through others have gone through and you have brought them out of it. Sometimes when is really tough it is hard for me to stay still and trust that you are going make away from me but your word says you will make a way out and that you will not give me more than I can bear, so Lord I am trusting you today to give me a way out, to help me to manage this burden. Help me to give this burden to you.
Jeremiah 29:11
For I know the plans I have for you declares the Lord plans to prosper you and not to harm you plan to give you a hope and a future
Lord this word is so sweet and even though I know that is true, it is really taking me a while to understand what this means for me, this is a word I will have to repeat to myself daily, “ That your plans towards me are good and not evil to prosper me to give me hope and a future”, regardless of the circumstances and situations I can see in front of me, I am choosing today to trust you Lord, that the plans that you have for me, that I cannot see, that I cannot understand in this situation, are of good and not of evil.
Isaiah 43:4
Because you are precious in my eyes and honoured and I love you I give man in return for you, people in exchange for your life.
God I just want to thank you for this declaration that you love me that you would give people for my life, that you gave your son Jesus for my life as a sacrifice for me because I am precious in your eyes. Lord I have not always been precious in the eyes of others help me to accept this declaration and affirmation over my life today in Jesus mighty name Amen.
